12 August Ziua Internațională a Tineretului

Începând cu anul 1999, Adunarea Generală a Organizaţiei Naţiunilor Unite a propus ca data de 12 august să fie desemnată Ziua internaţională a tineretului, promovată drept oportunitate de a face auzite vocile, acțiunile și inițiativele tinerilor, precum și implicarea lor în luarea deciziilor care îi vizează în mod direct.

Având în vedere provocările globale contemporane, tema aleasă pentru acest an este “Youth Engagement for Global Action- Angajamentul Tinerilor pentru Acțiune Globală”. Astfel, se aduce în discuție importanța implicării tinerilor în luarea deciziilor de la nivel local, național și global și recunoașterea eforturilor tinerilor din întreaga lume pentru consolidarea societății globale.
